GROWTH STRATEGY · 4 min read

Before you invest more in marketing, ask these five questions.

A practical starting point for deciding what deserves your next marketing investment.

By Wonder Marketing LLC

1. What business decision are we supporting?

Start with a specific priority: entering a new market, helping people understand an offer, or improving the quality of inquiries. A channel is a way to act on a decision; it should not replace the decision itself.

2. Who are we trying to reach?

Describe the customer’s situation, the problem they are solving, and what might prevent them from taking action. A useful audience definition gives your team a clearer basis for messaging and channel choices.

3. Is the offer easy to understand?

Ask someone unfamiliar with your business to describe your offer after reading your website. The gaps in their explanation can reveal where clearer language matters more than additional promotion.

4. What happens after someone responds?

Map the next step. Who receives the inquiry? What information do they need? How is follow-up handled? Marketing and sales should share a practical understanding of that journey.

5. What will we learn?

Choose a small number of measures tied to the decision you are making. Define what you will review, when you will review it, and what would cause you to change direction.

This perspective provides general business information. Your priorities and decisions will depend on your circumstances.
